TimesTableTutor
TimesTableTutor is an offline multiplication-practice app that drills the times tables from 2 to 12, tracks each of the 144 individual facts, and draws that history as a colour-coded mastery grid. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
TimesTableTutor does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
Information we collect
None. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal identifier. The display name you can set on the Profile screen is optional, defaults to “Learner”, and never leaves your device.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, TimesTableTutor stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Practice history — for each of the 144 multiplication facts: correct count, wrong count, and average response time. Stored in a local SQLite database.
- Round history — the last 120 practice rounds: the mode, the table, start and finish time, question count, correct count, best run, and average answer time. Same local database.
- Streaks and totals — current and longest daily streak, the date you last practised, your daily goal and today’s progress, and lifetime answer counts. Stored in the platform’s standard app-preferences store.
- Badges — the date each badge was unlocked. Same preferences store.
- Preferences — questions per round, daily goal, answer input mode, timer visibility, feedback style, reduced-motion setting, and the highest table used in mixed rounds. Same preferences store.
- Profile — the display name and avatar you chose, plus a flag recording that you have seen the introduction. Same preferences store.
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to TimesTableTutor or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
On Android the manifest declares android.permission.INTERNET because it is part of the standard Flutter application template, but TimesTableTutor contains no networking code and makes no network requests, so it is unused. No other Android runtime permissions are requested, and on iOS the app requests no permissions at all — its Info.plist declares no camera, microphone, location, photo-library, contacts, or notification usage descriptions, because it uses none of those capabilities.
Network use
The app is fully offline. It contains no HTTP client, no WebSocket, no cloud database, and no remote configuration, and works identically in airplane mode. The one feature that leaves the app is the Share button on the Profile screen: tapping it hands a short line of text (how many facts you have mastered) to your operating system’s standard share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you complete that action yourself, and the app receives nothing back.
Third-party services
No third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting service is integrated — there is no Firebase, no AdMob, no Crashlytics, no Sentry, and no tracking SDK of any kind. The app is built with Flutter and a small set of open-source packages (flutter_bloc for state management, sqflite and shared_preferences for local storage, fl_chart for the progress charts, share_plus for the system share sheet, and intl for date formatting). None of them transmit data on the app’s behalf.
Children's privacy
TimesTableTutor is suitable for children and is designed to be used by them. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, so there is nothing to disclose under COPPA or the GDPR provisions covering children’s data. There is no advertising, no in-app purchasing, no user-generated content, no messaging, and no external link out of the app.
Your rights
Because everything lives on your device and nothing is transmitted, you are in full control. To review your data, open the app — the Tables, Progress and Profile screens show all of it. To erase it, uninstall TimesTableTutor: uninstalling removes the app’s private storage, including the practice database and all preferences. There is no server-side copy to request, export, or delete.
